Dear Mr. President,
My name is Li Ming, a junior of the Civil Engineering School. I venture （冒昧）to write a letter to you about the canteen service （食堂服務） on campus which has given rise to a lot of complaints among students.
The focus of the complaint is the poor quality of the food. The vegetables are so overcooked as to lose their nutrients. The price of the food is surprisingly high. Besides , the attitude of the service staff to the students is not hospitable （熱情）at all.
All in all, there is still much room for improvement as far as the canteen service is concerned. I do hope we will not suffer for another year. Thank you for your kind consideration.

As we know，the 100th anniversary of the founding of our university is around the corner.Therefore， I’m writing to campaign against riding electric bikes and enroll some volunteers for the celebration.
With our alumni coming back to our university and the traffic on campus getting more jammed ，  instead of riding electric bikes，walking is supposed to be of the highest priority. Given the accidents caused by the electric bikes in the past，walking is safer. Besides some volunteers are needed to help us entertain our alumni and prepare for the celebration.
I do hope that you can take up my appeal and participate actively in the event.
